Flangebar Product Information
THE FLANGEBAR is a movable, portable anchor safety device which can be used by
any trades requiring fall arrest safety equipment. The device is used for tying
off when working on, or near, structural steel members, such as open beams and
columns. THE FLANGEBAR is designed to be used in conjunction with a full body
harness and a double lanyard to maintain 100% tie off at all times.
Depending on the model selected, THE FLANGEBAR may be attached to the top or bottom
flange of a beam, or to the side flange of an I beam column. Because of it’s
unique design, the device slides smoothly with the worker to his or her work station
at all times.
THE FLANGEBAR is made of high-quality stainless steel.
The standard FLANGEBAR model weighs in at under four pounds. This is an added
benefit in that a worker can easily carry a second FLANGEBAR on their tool belt,
for use in securing to a cross-member beam, if necessary. Because the worker has
a second lanyard, THE FLANGEBAR can be easily secured, saving valuable time, and
aiding the worker in maintaining a safe work flow at all times.
THE FLANGEBAR has been rigorously tested, and has been certified by professional
engineer to meet the requirements of OSHA, ANSI and CSA.
